Company Accountant - UK Based, Location Banbury

We are an ambitious, rapidly growing Technology Distributor with our HQ in Banbury Oxfordshire, We are looking to add an accountant into the business on a full or part time basis with a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday to Friday 10AM-2PM (can be negotiated).

You will report directly to the senior management team and it is essential that you will have worked in an accountancy practice and have good experience across the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake bookkeeping, including ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts preparation
  • Build our accounting processes out to future proof the business
  • Liaise with clients to obtain all information required for their accounts and reports including chasing payments, Tracking of goods and imports with Customs
  • Prepare business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns, prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 forms
  • Preparing statutory accounts and finalise accounts
  • Assist with administrative tasks where necessary
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Payroll, Dividends and RTI
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Preparing VAT Returns
  • Processing monthly payrolls
  • Prepare letters, reports and other documents as required
  • General administrative bookkeeping tasks
  • Preparation of R&D paperwork for our consultants
  • Prepare and file Directors tax returns
  • Prepare and maintain company pension scheme
  • General accounting tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 36 months accounts experience in practice
  • Ability to perform and prepare statutory financial statements and related business tax returns
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive impression with clients
  • In depth accounts knowledge

Essential Qualities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skill
  • Fluent English both written and verbal
  • Full clean drivers’ licence
  • ACCA or CIMA preferred

Job Type:

  • A full or part time basis with a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday to Friday 10AM-2PM (can be negotiated)
