A few weeks ago we took some of our valued partners to Silverstone to watch the practice sessions at the British Grand Prix 2025.
Read on for a reflection on the day from Sam Wade, one of our Channel Account Managers.
In tech, we live and breathe speed - faster deployment, smarter solutions, better performance. But nothing quite puts speed into perspective like watching a Formula 1 car push the limits on track at Silverstone. Last Friday, we had the opportunity to host some of our key partners at the Silverstone Friday Practice sessions for a powerful blend of cutting-edge engineering, strategy, and hospitality.
Days like this are what the IT industry is all about. Vendors, Distributors, and Resellers, coming together to form genuine relationships and a channel partnership as efficient as an F1 car.
The day wasn’t just about watching the racing, it provided us all with a great opportunity to step away from video calls, email threads, and boardroom meetings to enjoy some incredible hospitality. We engaged in friendly competition on the F1 simulators, had a chuckle watching each other attempt to change a tire and listened to insightful F1 opinions with the partners who have really been the cornerstone of Ethos success. It is truly rewarding to get to spend time with those who help keep Ethos succeeding and say thank you for all they do, and Silverstone is possibly our favourite place to do it.

As we wrapped up the day with the sound of engines still echoing in our ears, we left Silverstone with more than just photos and Ferrari hats (or McLaren if you are that way inclined!). We left with a clear understanding of how we can continue to work together to drive success, a fresh perspective on performance under pressure, and renewed energy to drive innovation forward.
In F1 and in tech the margins are tight and the pace is relentless; a place where success is built on trust, precision, and continuous improvement. Friday at Silverstone reminded us of all that.
Thanks again to all who came to make it an incredible day.
